These are the stories of our time in Berlin while assigned as members of the US ARMY BERLIN BRIGADE, 110 miles behind the Iron Curtain. The US Army’s presence in Post-War & Cold War Berlin was a unique moment in, not just US Army History, US History, European History but World History. The stories contained here are those as told by the men and women that were there on the ground, serving day in, day out from 1945 to 1994.
