However, any donation you make is welcomed and greatly appreciated. Since starting the first iteration of the BerlinBrigade.com website back in 1997 and until now, this has been a labor of love. However, as with everything else nowadays it comes at a price.
While at first, there was no issue keeping the website up and running. Then with the sales of BerlinBrigade gear the pay received from the sales most certainly helped. Then when the CafePress pay structure was changed, this became a little difficult to maintain; for example a product sold for $14.00USD NOW nets a $0.40 payout. This means it now takes between 4 to 5 sales to recover the same payout as one sale used to.
Let me share with you what your donations will do to support the maintenance and upkeep of the BerlinBrigade.com website
THE ANNUAL NEED = $520.00
• Webhosting Service: $400 annual (we are currently paying monthly)
• BerlinBrigade(dot)com domain registration renewal: $25 annual
• SSL (A Secure Sockets Layer certificate, known commonly as an SSL certificate, is a small data file installed on a Web server that allows for a secure connection): $95 and annual thereafter
• Data maintenance & Website update: donated free of charge
