Some Fond Memories – Alfred Michael Colasanti

Some fond memories for the most part such as the Curry Wurst stands on every corner and the wonderful Berliners that treated us so kind. Guarding Rudolph Hess at Spandau prison stands out as a highlight for sure. I remember humping the hills of Wildflecken in West Germany when we traveled there for maneuvers.

One of the saddest moments was losing one of our soldiers to an accidental bayonet stabbing during riot control training.

I was there from 1967 till 1969 and it was a lot better than being in Vietnam.
